Without trying to sound......intelligent, but there is no such word as prodical (ref. to Surrogates comment in my last post). There is the word prodigal, which is actually the same word, with the same meaning. Is this an example of how languages change and evolve over years, where we speak this word with a C even though it is spelt with a G. The english language has constantly evolved and changed throughout the centuries. I wonder if other languages do? I assume they do, unless you know different. ( I do actually, the gaelic spoken in the western isles of Scotland cannot create new words, so if you watch a programme on television that is in gaelic, many of the words are english!) |
