It is horrible when disasters strike and there are significant loss of life or damage. Or when horrible things happen to innocent individuals.

But what really gets me pissed is when these instances become a major media circus.

It ends up in your face for weeks on every news channel, and it then stops me from feeling sorry for the victims, and I end up with the "Couldn't care less" attitude.

One such media circus that is going on at the moment is the McCann case. (For those who do not know about this, you are lucky, but do a Google search by all means).

I have gone from feeling sorry for the parents (BTW, they were totally irresponsible for leaving their 3 children unsupervised while they sat at a restaurant having dinner, and considering they are both doctors, it beggars belief!!!!), to thinking that they are covering up Madeline's death. (A death which I think happened as an accident through parental incompetence and they have cooked up this abduction story to stop themselves getting into trouble).

But what gets me, is Richard Branson has put up £100,000 for the legal bills because the Portuguese Police see them as suspects. They have raked in so much money in the Madeline fund, they have a professional spokesperson to do the talking for them, and lord know the amount of celebrities and sports people who have helped to raise the profile of the missing Madeline.

Why have other parents of missing children not had this attention and support?

What is so special about the McCanns?

It makes me feel even more against them and wish that they are guilty and they get found out, so all these big name supporters e.g. Richard Branson, end up with egg on their face.

Controversial I know, but it is how I feel. Undecided
