A few years ago, there was a lot of media attention put onto people who listen to music on their personal stereos on public transport. The reason was to get them to turn their music down so others did not have to suffer the "chica chica chica" sound from their headphones. I can understand why as it would be very annoying to have to listen to that on a journey. Now I have a new annoyance. Last night, as I made my way home, I walked into the usual train station. In front was a teenage schoolgirl, and she had music playing from her mobile phone (you know the ones that have little speakers on the back of them)., and it was quite loud. I followed her down the ramp to the platform (where she stopped walking) and I continued further up the platform. When I stopped, There was another teenage schoolgirl playing music from her mobile phone. At this point, it was not really a problem as there was enough background noise to make the music tolerable. The real annoying bit came when I got on the train and sat down. A teenage school boy decided to stand close to me, playing his music very loud. Don't get me wrong, I like music, and he can listen to his R&B stuff if he wants to, but I don't think that I should have listen to his crap, nor should anyone else. I was a inch away from telling him to turn it off, but luckily for him, he got of at the next station. Afterwards, I thought that this will be the next menace and unsocial monster on public transport, and even in the streets. Next time, I will tell whoever it is to turn their f***ing crap off!!!! That is my winge for today |
